Books and Documentaries for Native American Heritage Month

November is Native American Heritage Month, which celebrates indigenous tribes' culture and contributions to the United States. In honor of Native American Heritage Month, the librarian has selected some documentaries and ebooks from the library's collection.

Films:

The Warrior Tradition--The Warrior Tradition tells the story of Native Americans' experiences and contributions in the United States' armed forces.

Our Cultures Are Our Sources of Health--This video explores how changes to Native American diets made them more likely to develop diabetes and how traditional cultural elements can promote health in these communities.

New World Rising-New World Rising addresses the impact of colonialism on Native Americans and the role their culture played in their survival.
