5 Resources and Tips for Academic Success

Welcome to a new semester!  Here are some resources to help you be successful throughout the semester.

  1.  Do you need help with a course topic or your writing? Check out Bay State's free tutoring services! Faculty tutoring and online tutoring through NetTutor are available. Check out the Tutoring page for more information.
  2. Are you feeling stressed or struggling to balance your classes and your other responsibilities?  Please contact Megan Delano, the school's counselor for assistance. Megan can be reached at
  3. Want tips and articles on topics such as study skills, time management, and notetaking? Check out the library's College Success Strategies guide.
  4. Have a research assignment? Check out the resources and tips on the library's research guides!  The research guides have lists of recommended resources, and some guides are tutorials that cover research and citation skills. One example is the APA Tutorial! Subject guides for your course can also be found in your courses in Canvas.
  5. Do you need help locating resources for a research paper? Do you have a question about how to cite a source? You can contact the librarian at for assistance.
